It’s Homeschool Conference Time! Plus A Giveaway!

It’s one of my two favorite times of the year. Other than Christmas, my favorite time each year is the OCEANetwork Conference. It’s such a great time of refreshment and learning. It is something my husband and I look forward to all year long for 3 big reasons.

  1. It’s a time for us to get away together and reconnect. That’s right,  we’re that awesome homeschooling family who uses he homeschool convention as our anniversary trip. It makes sense given the fact that our anniversary is less Han two weeks before the conference and there are so many great marriage sessions.
  2. I get to meet the people behind some of my favorite blogs and companies. Our first time I got to meet Heidi St. John from The Busy Mom; which was so exciting because her blog always makes me laugh.
  3. The SHOPPING!!! Between the exhibit hall full of amazing vendors ranging from huge curriculum companies to local small businesses and the addictive awesome used curriculum exchange there is plenty of time to flex those shopping muscles.

I start stalking the conference home page in about January, anxiously waiting for information to be posted so I can start choosing my sessions (yes, I’m a bit Type A like that, lol). So far here are the workshops I have planned.

Workshop 1: Nurturing Your Marriage While Homeschooling

Workshop 2: My Beloved, My Friend

Workshop 3: The Principal-Teacher Principle

Workshop 4: Homeschooling A Houseful

Workshop 5: Dear “Mommy”: Loving the Little Years

Workshop 6: I haven’t chosen one yet

Okay, folks, I promised you a giveaway. OCEANetwork is generously allowing me to giveaway a free couple’s pass to their conference on June 19-20! Just follow the simple steps below to enter.

We often make a trip out of it as well! I can't wait for the conference. It always feels a bit like summer camp for homeschool moms. :)

Summer camp for homeschoolers. Love it! It's funny because come Friday evening you can spot us all at the hotel with our goodie bags from the conference. If you see me at the conference, say hi!

I am relatively new to Oregon and have never been to the conference before. It looks neat!

I am bringing my son and baby this year. He will babysit our 9 month old so I can breath in all the morsels of wisdom. I am excited to go.

Great idea bringing an older kid to help keep the baby occupied!

This would be my first homeschooling conference in Oregon. We've been homeschooling for about a decade now. We moved here from the east coast in 2011, and haven't done a lot of traveling out of the Mid-Valley.

I used to live in the mid-valley!
